Mishan Afeka has two nursing departments – a ward for nursing residents, and a memory care ward. The departments are professional, knowledgeable, and experienced, and operate under license of the Ministry of Health. Each tenant is under 24 hours’ supervision and care and has three main meals and three snacks each day. A skilled and capable staff assists residents and cares for them with dedication and sensitivity.
Memory Care Department (Alzheimer’s)
Mishan Afeka operates a department for the treatment of mentally frail patients (Alzheimer’s) – patients who walk on their own but suffer from decreased brain function (cognitive decline) in the areas of: Memory, judgment, orientation, intellect, to the extent that they need full help in daily activities including: Bathing, dressing, eating, using the toilet due to lack of control of body functions, and the need for guidance in mobility and supervision, and in a protected framework. The department operates professionally and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology. The department staff has been carefully chosen, with an emphasis on quality and professionalism. The skilled staff assists the residents and treats them with restraint, sensitivity and responsibility, and provides them with a humane and dedicated response at all times. The caregiver staff operates under the direction and supervision of the Ministry of Labor and Welfare and the Ministry of Health.
