From the day of its founding in 1946 to this day, the Onim residence in kfar Saba – in the Sharon, north of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, has dedicated itself to providing a safe, supportive and caring home for rehabilitating a diverse population of orphan troubled youth.
In recent years, the Ministry of Work and Welfare has faced a growing need for the kind
of services Onim can provide .Onim has developed a broad array of treatment and rehabilitation services for orphan and at-risk-youth and older adolescents.
Today, the village operates a number of frameworks – each with its own particular challenges and rehabilitative and educational objectives.
The Onim community is comprised of 190 pupils and resident staff. The campus also serves as a venue for hands-on and in-service training programs for professional caregivers; as a base for projects for youth from abroad, and hosts summer camps. Its sports facilities serve the community-at-large.
